The 2010 edition of Midnight Rugby is now over.
The winners of the tournament are "Les Kebabs" from Drancy in France. They won the Baltic Plate which crowns the best team of the tournament. Les Kebabs defeated Herford Rhinos in a tough final with a score of 20-0.
Les Kebabs wanted to give a special thank to Mastini Opera from Milan, Italy who accepted to play a game they won by forfeit (Les Kebabs were late). Without this game Les Kebabs wouldn't have won the tournament. Well done Mastini that's a great fair play you've been showing. You guys are real rugby players.
The winners of the Baltic Cup are Old Albanian 1. They won against Lahti Sisu. Lahti pulled an excellent tournament this year and is the best Finnish team of the tournament!
The winners of the Baltic Bowl are Tallinn Sharks. Tallinn had very lousy start! The first day was terrible to say the least! Only 1 point scored on Friday. But what a come back on Saturday! Tallinn Sharks really deserve this trophy and we are happy to see them coming year after year and increasing their level!
The winners of the Baltic Shield are Old Albanian 2. Good tournament for a team made of 9 props!
The wooden spoon was awarded to Helsinki Rugby Club. No comment.
The women tournament was won by Helsinki Rugby Club. The girls of the club did clearly better than the guys and this is once again a great proof that Finnish women Rugby is getting better and better every year.
Special thanks goes to the Beastiality Girls from England. Great fair play, great rugby spirit, we hope to see you again next year!
